MX Lab moves servers to Verizon data center
10 September 2007

MX Lab will house its servers at the Verizon data center, Brussels, to avoid further service downtimes that we experienced during the last few days in the current data center.

MX Lab noticed occasional time outs and several downtimes on Tuesday 4 September and Wednesday 5 September leading to an accumulated downtime of 3 hours for the month September alone.

MX Lab has decided to stop deploying its activities in this data center on a very short term by relocating the servers in the Verizon data center. Since Friday 7 September we now have access to our own rack space in this state-of-the-art data center and as a first step we have relocated the gateway servers to the new data center.

MX Lab has access to a redundant 10 GigE network and a backbone capacity of 7 Gbit with Level3, Cogent and Verizon as transit providers, FreeBIX and ProXimity as public internet exchanges and peerings with eXpress, PacketExchange, Kangaroot, Init Seven AG and others.

We are confident that this data center switch will allow us to provide once again a stable and high uptime service and to archieve our 99,99% or higher uptime goals.
